Sexual harassment – depends on who is doing it

Madonna, that vulgar little pop star and tireless promoter of the Western world’s state-approved bigotry, is touring Australia at the moment. It seems her concerts never start on time, one suffering a delay of three hours. It appears also that her fans will forgive her anything. And it’s not just the delays that most people would find outrageous and insulting.

At her Brisbane show yesterday, the Age reported, she invited a 17-year-old aspiring model onto the stage for a chat. During the chat Madonna suddenly and without warning pulled down the 17-year-old’s top and exposed a breast. Madonna quipped:

“She’s the kind of girl you want to slap on the ass … oh shit, sorry!  Sexual harassment. You can do the same to me if you like.”

The young woman did not take up Madonna’s offer but about the question of being humiliated she said,

“Only I get to decide if I’m humiliated or not. Why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body? It’s hilarious to me how much of a big deal it is to everyone.”

Later she laughingly rejected the suggestion she could sue:

“Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of my life?”

We all know that that best moment of her life in front of a stadium full of people could easily have been the worst moment of her life if it had been some other type of person and not the grotesquely vulgar Madonna. And the Age would be in the front row of the media kangaroo court and the agitation for legal action.
