The second general meeting of the Edmund Burke’s Club for 2026 will take place on Friday, 17 July. As usual, the venue is the Melbourne Savage Club (Bank Place), with a 6:00 pm arrival for a 6:30 pm start. The RSVP date is Wednesday, 15 July.
Our speaker for this meeting is Liam Cain. Liam’s topic is:
“A Certain Idea of Conservatism: France since 1789”
The talk draws on Liam’s postgraduate research into the history of France. The topic and ensuing conversation will no doubt be very illuminating. I hope you are able to attend, and please feel free to invite others in your networks who may be interested.
