Magna Carta & Battle Waterloo Dinner, Savage Club, 16 June 2015

Dinner at the Savage Club, Melbourne, commemorating the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta and the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.

PROGRAM

7.00 pm start
Attendees will be welcomed in the lounge on the ground floor where drinks will be served.

A short talk or reading will be presented after which several toasts will be proposed.

7.30 pm (or thereabouts)
Attendees will proceed to the dining room on the first floor. The dining room will be exclusive to Edmund Burke’s Club guests.  During the dinner there will be short talks on Magna Carta and the Battle of Waterloo plus toasts. The readings will include those passages of Burke’s that are directly related Magna Carta and Waterloo. Attendees will be invited to give their own short talk or toast – in consultation with the MC.

The dinner will be a three course meal including drinks (no limit). The cost is $100 per person. Bookings are essential.
